Mistigram: this is an alternate, pointier, version of a Unicode #textmode promo [Bad username or site: mc @ fresher] kindly drew for us in last month's unthemed MIST0625 artpack collection, riffing off the name and logo of the '80s reality TV precursor #UnsolvedMysteries for some oldschool flavour!

Mistigram: shortly after making a splash with his solo XBIn collection, Hortau stopped by our Discord to make a guest appearance in our MIST-30 30th anniversary celebration, with these two lads in whimsical hats. But what perplexity were they trying to wrap their heads around? Cthulu offered up some crude graffiti for them to stroke their chins at.

Mistigram: The inimitable

polyducks here drew a fabulous #flyingtoaster, mascot of the After Dark screensaver dynasty, in #textmode art (most likely using a character set and colour palette of his own devising). It was included in the MIST1121 artpack collection.

All lined up in a row in the starry expanses of the cosmos are a small red dwarf, a tiny blue planet, a slightly larger dead red world, a blue-green sphere that looks a lot like the Earth, and a giant round skull

Mistigram: this #textmode art screen by

littlebitspace, "Interplanetary", figured prominently in last month's spooky MIST1024 artpack collection, because... wtf! So there's a cosmic conjunction of celestial spheres, fine! But what's up with the colossal, planet-sized skull? Is there an immense headless torso somewhere out there in orbit around Jupiter? Does the skull have a molten core, an atmosphere even? Every answer opens the door to weirder questions.

A lot of green-glowing drippy pseudopods and tentacles and things drape their way down a stepped pyramid under a night sky in which the stars are right -- the kind of scene Lovecraft would describe as full of inhuman angles and unspeakable blasphemies, so who am I to try to describe it?

Mistigram:

bnjmnbrgmn (aka Bema) drew this, "In his house at R'lyeh" (dead #Cthulhu waits dreaming) as part of an eldritch suite of #Lovecraftian #textmode screens fashioned from #PETSCII characters. This gloriously goopy green Cyclopean scene was included in the spooky MIST1021 artpack collection released three years ago this month.

littlebitspace and included in last year's spooky MIST1023 artpack collection.

Mistigram: when you split a walnut in half, the interior structure of the shell can resemble an #owl face. I expect that's why this #textmode composition by

illarterate, which won 3rd place in the 2023 #ATASCII art compo, is named "Walnut the Owl". It was included in the recent unthemed MIST0624 artpack collection.

In a dark cave, a tiny stickman conducts an esoteric conversation with an enormous and prickly purple dragon of great sagacity.

Mistigram: Tapio of

unculturedgames has taken the smallscale #ANSIart aesthetic and extended it into an entire #QB64 #textmode #JRPG, #WhispersInTheMoss, available at most major PC game electronic storefronts. We included some scenes from the game, such as this conversation with a dragon, in the recent unthemed MIST0624 artpack collection.

A large and diverse group of overheated people take to the blue ocean water in various styles and colours of swimsuit to cool off. Across the harbour is visible smokestacks and cooling towers belching pollution into the cyan sky, with the sun setting behind their silhouettes.
