Mistigram: this iconic moment from #StudioGhibli's 1992 #PorcoRosso was illustrated in #ANSIart by Cthulu (easy linework) and LDA (incredible sunset engineer) for last month's #anime-themed MIST0825 artpack collection. “I'd rather be a pig than a fascist.”

Mistigram: Cthulu felt awfully normcore (not a way he feels often!) cooking up a list of his favorite #anime and realising just how many of them were #StudioGhibli productions, but their output is solid even if his engagement with the genre is relatively superficial. He drew this #ANSIart tribute to 1997's #PrincessMononoke (with help from LDA and ConsoleJockey) for the new anime-themed MIST0825 artpack collection.

Mistigram: in the first decade of this new century, Cute Overload and I Can Has Cheezburger? testified to the self-evident truth that the Internet was, on a fundamental level, for sharing funny cat-related content, and all other applications for it were kind of secondary. From this milieu emerged Jason "Textfiles" Scott's cat Sockington, who over the course of a decade accumulated over a million Twitter followers. Though Socks died in 2022, a good cat is never forgotten, so when Cthulu was coming up with the short list of celebrated cats to enshrine in #ANSIart in last month's #cat-themed MIST0725 artpack collection, this hep cat invariably stalked its way to the top of the pile. LDA and Moth assisted in locking down this adaptation of a 2009 t-shirt design originally by Megan Hopkins and R. Stevens.

Mistigram: this #1bit portrait of Transformers boss #OptimusPrime was drawn by LDA at the request of NDG, who adapted it into an #ASCIIart #primenumber. This devastating pun, Optimus Prime Prime, was included in the science fiction-themed MIST0522 artpack collection.

Mistigram: this scurrilous snitch, Garindan ezz Zavor (aka "Long-Snoot"), nearly ruined the day of the Millennium Falcon's crew when they were departing Mos Eisley in #StarWars. He was drawn in #ANSIart on our networked Moebius server by LDA and Zeus II, and included in the new science fiction-themed MIST0525 artpack collection.

Mistigram: 'Then he got an idea. An awful idea. #TheGrinch had a wonderful, awful idea.' LDA drew this incredible #ANSIart screen from #ChuckJones' 1966 animated adaptation of #DrSeuss' 1957 book #HowTheGrinchStoleChristmas for this date in last year's ADVENT23 #AdventCalendar.
