In a three by three grid, every cell is occupied by a differently-coloured (but otherwise-identical) stylized coronavirus, presented against variable high-contrast background colours.

Mistigram: [profile] blippypixel brings his #teletext editor back to the #AndyWarhol well for one final take on serially repetitive permutations on iconic topics -- here none other than the Covid-19 coronavirus, whose 15 minutes of fame have certainly overstayed their welcome. As the compromised host cells of an infected and contagious person turn into virus factories, a metaphor resonates with Warhol's name for his screenprinting print shop studio -- also called "The Factory"... as is this screen, which was included in the recent fine art-themed MIST0424 artpack collection.

Four yellow skulls, facing the viewer, occupy a two by two grid, each cell offering a different garish combination of background and detail colours.

Mistigram: whatever your favorite iconic subject, it makes for an excellent fit in #AndyWarhol's serially repetitive, garishly tinted #popart style. [profile] littlebitspace here shares with us textmode illustrations of skulls (possibly current portraits of Marilyn Monroe!) using the #PETSCII character set. This piece was included in the recent fine art-themed MIST0424 artpack collection.

The letters of the acronym NFT, stamped across a red canvas in various colours, mark out the contours of a heavily made-up woman s face.

Mistigram: [profile] blippypixel no doubt wonders what pop artist #AndyWarhol would have made of the short-lived #NFT craze, writing it large in this #teletext reproduction of his #MarilynMonroe print. This screen was included in the recent fine art-themed MIST0424 artpack collection.

A clean-shaven man with white hair and glasses gazes back, bored, at the viewer.

Two visitors to a blue art gallery drink in the spectacle of a monumental, wall-sized portrait of a man with magnificently unruly white hair wearing a fabulously oversized pair of glamourous sunglasses.

Mistigram: [profile] blippypixel returns to the topic of pop artist #AndyWarhol in this #BBCMicro high resolution graphics screen, named (echoing the Bowie song) "Where Are We Now?" This piece was included in the recent fine art-themed MIST0424 artpack collection.

Mistigram: in this #teletext illustration by [profile] blippypixel, pop art icon #AndyWarhol indulges his interest in watching a little car drive across the TV screen. This piece was included in the recent fine art-themed MIST0424 artpack collection.

Mistigram: you can't have one #GreatWaveOffKanagawa without having a second, implied one, so let's post a second interpretation of this 1831 #Hokusai #ukiyoe print, this time rendered in #ASCIIart by the formidable [profile] littlebitspace. This piece was also included in the recent fine art-themed MIST0424 artpack collection.

An image of a thunderously crashing wave, a masterclass of the use of positive and negative space, sits in the typewriter in which its typographical picture elements were individually typed.

Mistigram: celebrated #typewriterart practitioner [Bad username or site: ty @ p0] shares their rendition of #Hokusai's 1831 #ukioye print #TheGreatWaveOffKanagawa. This piece was included in the recent fine art-themed MIST0424 artpack collection.

Weathered buildings line a sloping seaside road down to the dark harbour at its bottom.

Mistigram: #OwenPomery's #VictoryPoint is a graphic novel, and consequently falls a little outside the scope of our recent fine art-themed MIST0424 artpack, but this monochrome #teletext adaptation of its landscape cover art by Jellica Jake wound up being folded into the collection regardless.

As though looking through a window frame, a lush typed picture frame with bouquets of fecund fronds and blossoms at every corner allow a view inside the frame of a soft deciduous forest scene captioned with messages to digital detox and terminate connection

Mistigram: tapping a rich vein of Western fine art, ASCII whiz [profile] lordnkon has used his mad #typewriterart skillz to richly frame this pastoral scene from nature with a pointed caption advising viewers to terminate their electronic connections and embark upon a #digitaldetox. (Let's compromise: how about we use no technology newer than 1994?) This piece was included in the recent fine art-themed MIST0424 artpack collection.

Catching the rays of the rising sun as it rises out of the mists, the upper peak of Mount Fuji above the treeline appears red

A few late-night 1940s types occupy an illuminated urban diner while the entire world outside is dark and silent.

Mistigram: you think the nocturnal denizens of #EdwardHopper's iconic 1942 painting #Nighthawks are alienated, if he made it today they'd all be on their phones, to boot! This #teletext adaptation was made by [profile] horsenburger and included in the recent fine art-themed MIST0424 artpack collection.

Contained in an ornate, pillared golden frame is just barely visible the pale white torso of a female nude partially emerging from shadow, langorously draped with the body of an enormous snake.
Mistigram: the artist [profile] atonalosprey recalls seeing it "at the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich some 20 years ago", and now you can enjoy it from the comfort of the device in your hand. The blocky #teletext medium denies you the option of zooming in to appreciate the finer details, but this is a reproduction of Symbolist #FranzStuck's unforgettable 1893 painting #DieSünde (Sin), depicting a large snake draped around a female nude. This screen was included in the recent fine art-themed MIST0424 artpack collection.

Two sailboats, sails full of wind, speed along the calm water s surface. Superimposed against their desaturated image are a series of red, blue and yellow transparent rectangles.

Mistigram: The first #ANSIart screen we profile from the new #fineart-themed MIST0424 artpack collection is this composition by [profile] _n1tr0n, a juxtaposition of #sailboat racing with the neo-plasticism of #DeStijl painter #PietMondrian. The artist/sailor states he depicts: "my favorite moment in a boat race, the approach to the windward mark... the mondrian colors are supposed to reflect the elements of the scene, the sea, the sun, the sky, the racing spirit of the crew in red... I drew that ANSI the day I decided to sell the boat, actually."

This image is secretly responsible for the specific timing of the release of our fine art collection, as tracking down the specific fate of a particular Nitron guest submission resulted in the discovery of an entire trove of worthwhile artworks on this theme that had been carefully stashed away and then forgotten about.
