Mistigram: this gaunt steed may only represent a hacker conveying himself through cyberspace (hence the ones and zeroes, and the accents in terminal green), but we felt that mavenmob's #ANSIart scene here was creepy enough to warrant inclusion in last month's spooky MIST1025 artpack collection. (Isn't having your private files rifled through by strangers scary enough?)

Mistigram: _n1tr0n, who graciously put together the spooky new MIST1025 artpack collection in my stead, drew for it this #ANSIart portrait of Sesame Street's #CountVonCount, a promo for sixteen_colors (16! 16 colors! Ah ah ah ah!) in homage to an endless parade of William Gibson-loving Count Zeroes in the digital underground of the '90s.

Mistigram: a synthesis of #ANSIart and #ASCIIart, all you need to know about this #skull is that it's all scream. Is that curly hair or are its soupy brains being expelled from its cranium under high pressure in an evaporated form? It was drawn as a creepy guest appearance by our main liaison with the new Pizzatoe computer art community, Jackey, and was included in the spooky MIST1024 artpack collection released one year ago.

Mistigram: this witchy #ANSIart cutie, surrounded by tiny details (the bats traversing the full moon, the flaming jack 'o lantern in her hand!) was drawn by Momo of the pizzatoe computer art crew as a guest appearance in last year's spooky MIST1024 artpack collection.

Mistigram: this portrait of #Hellraiser's Cenobite #Pinhead, titled "Solve the Cube", was drawn by polyducks and El Hombre Lombre for the [Bad username or site: flashparty @ ar] demoparty (coming up again in a bit over a week), whose #ANSIart compo it took second prize in. It was also included in the spooky MIST1023 artpack collection. "We have such sights to demo for you"

Mistigram: here's Lobo/Spitoufs' #ANSIart cover page to #EdgarAllanPoe's #MasqueOfTheRedDeath, part of their #ANSIPOE collection illustrating Poe's complete works for BBS-based consumption. They were all included in the MIST1017 artpack collection released 8 years ago this month.

Mistigram: around the turn of the century Cthulu would make his way to the West End apartment of blaine and maureen and they would have late-night, all-night binges on curated cultural selections. For a time it was Kieślowski's Dekalog, and later it was the subject of this #ANSIart illustration, 1998's #SerialExperimentsLain series. This portrait of #LainIwakura and #theWired was included in last month's #anime-themed MIST0825 artpack collection.
