Mistigram: #TONTO (or: #TheOriginalNewTimbralOrchestra) is "the first, and still the largest, multitimbral polyphonic analog synthesizer in the world", as seen in Phantom of the Paradise and heard on Stevie Wonder's Innervisions album. It spent time at the Mutato Muzika headquarters before winding up at the National Music Centre in Calgary, Alberta, where it can be booked and played! This animated #teletext portrait of it was drawn by blippypixel and included in our recent music-themed MIST0224 artpack collection.

Mistigram: atonalosprey made this #teletext adaptation of the album art to the single #Dizzy from #ShonenKnife's 2019 album #SweetCandyPower, depicting iconic dresses in a #PietMondrian pattern the band's members have been wearing, on and off, for decades. Mistigram: this #ANSIart rendition of the monstrous feline mascot of indie electronic music publishing company monstercat (based, like ourselves, out of Vancouver, Canada) was drawn by The War On Christmas and included in the recent music-themed MIST0224 artpack collection.

Mistigram: a state-of-the-art audio recording medium during WWII, over the next fourty years the #ReelToReel machine became the refuge of audiophiles and the experimental avant-garde, before falling by the wayside and, finally, becoming illustrated as a #teletext animation by blippypixel in the music-themed MIST0224 artpack collection. There's still something hypnotic about watching the spools endlessly turn.

This image's source, a photograph by Alan Levenson, was widely seen associated with her later single "Plastic Love" on YouTube circa 2017-2018, leading to a resurgence of interest in the Japanese #citypop genre.
