Mistigram: a synthesis of #ANSIart and #ASCIIart, all you need to know about this #skull is that it's all scream. Is that curly hair or are its soupy brains being expelled from its cranium under high pressure in an evaporated form? It was drawn as a creepy guest appearance by our main liaison with the new Pizzatoe computer art community, Jackey, and was included in the spooky MIST1024 artpack collection released one year ago.

Mistigram: this witchy #ANSIart cutie, surrounded by tiny details (the bats traversing the full moon, the flaming jack 'o lantern in her hand!) was drawn by Momo of the pizzatoe computer art crew as a guest appearance in last year's spooky MIST1024 artpack collection.

Mistigram: this #ASCIIart illustration of a #jiangshi or 'hopping vampire' of Chinese folklore (and beloved of Hong Kong cinema) was a guest appearance by Amy of the Pizzatoe computer art crew. It was included in last year's spooky MIST1024 artpack collection, resplendent in its Qing dynasty traditional garb. There's a rumour about that pizzatoe may soon be dropping their first artpack, so we're hoping to schedule these posts to roughly coincide with their debut.

Mistigram: Darkman Almighty loves his television series, and in a rare departure from his Star Trek wheelhouse drew this moody #ANSIart tribute to Joss Whedon's late '90s #BuffyTheVampireSlayer series. This screen was included in last year's spooky MIST1024 artpack collection.

Mistigram: #LeonardoDaVinci used his #VitruvianMan design to model ideal human proportions, but littlebitspace found there was still one small area for improvement, and stripped the obfuscating flesh from those big, beautiful bones in this #teletext adaptation, included in last year's spooky MIST1024 artpack collection.

Mistigram: #Berk, the plasticine servant prowling the subterranean realm beneath #TheTrapDoor, lumbers in the dark with arms wide open as colourful bugs hover overhead. This animated #teletext screen was drawn by blippypixel and included in last month's spooky MIST1024 artpack.

Mistigram: this small #ANSIart (or #blockASCII) quickie #werewolf illustration, 'Howl', in the monochrome pixelart style of EzeeShady, was a very welcome guest appearance by The Green Herring in last month's spooky MIST1024 artpack collection.

Mistigram: the unfriendly face of an #oni 👹 (or if you prefer, Unicode consortium, 'Japanese ogre') stares down the viewer as binary code mixes with the rain, spelling out the hidden message '#ANSIart is dead'. This screen was drawn by consolejockey and included in last month's spooky MIST1024 artpack collection.

Mistigram: this #ASCIIart illustration, depicting a #Shinigami who clearly has a lot in common with the Grim Reaper, was drawn by Eel Sansho and included in last month's spooky MIST1024 artpack collection.

Mistigram: this #textmode art screen by littlebitspace, "Interplanetary", figured prominently in last month's spooky MIST1024 artpack collection, because... wtf! So there's a cosmic conjunction of celestial spheres, fine! But what's up with the colossal, planet-sized skull? Is there an immense headless torso somewhere out there in orbit around Jupiter? Does the skull have a molten core, an atmosphere even? Every answer opens the door to weirder questions.
