Beneath a sinister Inquisitor and a swinging blade, we see a big blue rat leaning toward the viewer away from an area of mild orange illumination in a dark dungeon, having just heroically nibbled through leather straps confining a prisoner to a death machine.

Mistigram: this #ANSIart illustration of a rat was drawn by Spitoufs, ushering in the end of The Pit And The Pendulum in his ANSIPOE collection of the complete works of #EdgarAllanPoe, arranged for the enjoyment of BBS callers. It was included in the spooky MIST1017 artpack released seven years ago this month.
