Against a tiled backdrop, a pretty soldier with elaborate hair and makeup in a sailor suit gazes back at the viewer.

Mistigram: many years ago, Emme Doble specialised in a kind of cozy chibi #pixelart aesthetic. (They are still a hugely prolific visual artist in an entirely different idiom.) Five years ago we shared her portrait of #anime hero Usagi (#SailorMoon) in the TV-themed MIST1320 artpack collection.

An aquatic little girl in a red dress, accompanied by a couple of her tiny sisters, swims around the confines of a sparkling, magical transparent glass teapot, half-filled with clear, bubbling water.

Mistigram: #StudioGhibli subjects are impossible for an AI to improve on, a source of endless delight when celebrated and reinterpreted by fan artists. Here's the aquatic #Ponyo swimming around a glass teapot, drawn in #pixelart by [profile] pinkiemme. This piece was included in the film-themed MIST0920 artpack collection released five years ago.
