In the final few seconds of brain activity before succumbing to asphyxiation, a drowning sailor looks up at the fading sunlit world above and sees the shadowy outline of a mermaid looking down at him.

Mistigram: this haunting #teletext image of a #mermaid seen in #silhouette from below was drawn by [profile] atonalosprey and included in the MIST0223 artpack collection released three years ago this month.
