MIST1024/US-DOOMSCROLL

Emerging from a wobbly, distorted and glitchy television test pattern background of coloured stripes (white, yellow, cyan, green, purple, red, blue) is hazily visible the black silhouette of a person on the other side of the screen, pressing their hands and body against the glass in an attempt to get your attention and escape from their prison, posting the words HELP ME / PLEASE / I AM TRAPPED alongside their shadow

Mistigram: there was never any doubt that this was going to be the first individual work from the creepy new MIST1024 artpack collection showcased, not least because it was the earliest piece of haunting art to stake its Halloween claim in our incoming directory, nearly a year ago. This #teletext screen, "Doomscroll", whose test pattern resonates sinisterly with Poltergeist and Videodrome, is a collaboration between two modern masters of constrained semigraphics, [profile] littlebitspace and [profile] atonalosprey.
